TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. 1.      Project Description

DW Akademie, Germany’s leading organisation for international media development department of Deutsche Welle, in partnership with Transtele Canal France International (CFI) and Lithuanian Radio and Television (LRT) implement the project “MediaFit Programme for Information Integrity in southern and eastern Ukraine” (ENI/2021/423-657).

DW Akademie is Deutsche Welle’s centre for international media development, journalism training and knowledge transfer. Our projects strengthen the human right to freedom of expression and unhindered access to information. DW Akademie empowers people worldwide to make independent decisions based on reliable facts and constructive dialogue.

1. 2.      Overall Objective

DW Akademie is currently looking for translation and interpretation services provider(s) for a framework contract for 2022 (Contract Period: Feb to Dec 2022) to assist in implementation. 

1. 3.      Expected Services

LOT 1 Written translation

a)      Service rates for written translation per page 1860 characters with spaces (English into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian / Russian into English) in EUR and UAH if relevant

b)     Service rates for written translation per page 1860 characters with spaces (German into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian / Russian into German) in EUR and UAH if relevant

LOT 2 Consecutive interpretation

a)      Service rates (minimum order of two hours) for consecutive interpretation (from English into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian/ Russian into English) - both offline and online in EUR and UAH if relevant

b)     Service rates (minimum order of two hours) for consecutive interpretation (from German into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian / Russian into German) - both offline and online in EUR and UAH if relevant

LOT 3 Simultaneous interpretation

a)      Service rates (minimum order of two hours) for simultaneous interpretation (from English into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian/ Russian into English) - both offline and online in EUR and UAH if relevant

b)     Service rates (minimum order of two hours) for simultaneous interpretation (from German into Ukrainian / Russian and from Ukrainian / Russian into German) - both offline and online in EUR and UAH if relevant

c)      Rates for lease of professional equipment for simultaneous interpretation (incl. technical assistance) for online and offline per day in EUR and UAH if relevant - for an event up to 20 participants, 50 participants, 100 participants

1. 5.      Payment

In return for the fulfilment by the Provider of its obligations under the contract, Deutsche Welle undertakes to pay the Provider the amount in EUR as follows: 

• 100% post-payment
• Availability of the EUR account is mandatory
• Deutsche Welle will pay within 30 calendar days after the completion of all the deliverables upon presentation of final detailed invoice
