ABOUT UNITED VOICES IN ACTION (VIA) PROGRAM:
The goal of the CSO-funded United Voices in Action (VIA) program activity is to advance Ukraine’s stabilization by fostering IDP integration, increasing community cohesion, contributing to local and national integration plans, and reducing IDP vulnerability to exploitation. IREX will support IDPs and receiving community members from up to 27 communities in nine oblasts. Based on a conflict sensitive and inclusive development approach, the VIA program will make local community members – both IDPs and non-IDPs – the drivers of change in their communities, leading to increased stabilization and mutual understanding through the development of a shared vision of a future where multiple perspectives are heard, and marginalized voices are elevated.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Program Coordinator should have background in donor-funded program planning and implementation as well as experience in administrative and financial support, coordination of program operations, and understanding of community and citizen engagement programming, including training and events logistics. Familiarity with education, political, economic, and social issues in Ukraine is a plus. The Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of Program Officer to coordinate and support implementation of program activities.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate project components by providing programmatic, administrative, and logistical planning and implementation;
Organize program trainings, events, and activities;
Coordinate logistics and ensure effective administration and operations;
Provide communication coverage and outreach on certain program activities;
Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting;
Organizing trainings and workshops (United Community, L2D, Data for Advocacy, Storytelling for Change, media trainings, Living Libraries, annual and final summits for the project goals, and other events as required by the project);
Support the adaptation and employment of the MCAT tool to systematically evaluate current media coverage of IDPs;
Support the development of the RfA for Joint Community Projects, and oversee the implementation of these small projects by the subgrantees;
Travel to program implementation sites to support and monitor implementation;
Support effective collaboration with program partners;
Support day-to-day management of the program activities;
Liaise with Grants/Finance Manager and assist with financial reporting (if possible and according to IREX policy and the public health situation in Ukraine);
Liaise with Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on assessments and surveys conducted by CSOs and assist with technical reporting;
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, management, political science, and/or another relevant field is preferred
Minimum 3 years of administrative work experience in a non-profit organization
Minimum 2 years of experience working on donor-funded projects
Excellent communications skills, including ability to make public presentations
Experience with grants management
Strong command of spoken and written English, Ukrainian, and Russian
Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines
Prior experience working with IDPs is preferred
Prior experience working with teens and children is preferred
Ability to be creative and generate new ideas
Strong attention to detail and responsibility
