The DCAF`s Police Program within the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) division is implementing a project “Police Assistance Project on Strategic Reform Capacities on the NPU (PSRC-NPU)”. This project is funded by the Global Affairs Canada - Peace and Stabilization Operations Program (PSOPs) and aims to strengthen the capacity of the Strategic Reform Unit (SRU) in advising the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing reform processes that integrate a gender perspective and enhancing NPU management capacity to implement these reforms.
 
DCAF`s ECA Division for the `Police Assistance Project on Strategic Reform Capacities for the National Police of Ukraine, (PSRC-NPU)` is looking for a service provider to support the PSRC-NPU in conducting a survey of gender matters within the NPU.
 
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (no relocation or travel expenses will be covered)
 
Starting date: September 2021
 
Duration: up to 40-day service agreement
 
The role
 
You will support the PSRC-NPU in conducting Gender Self-Assessment (GSA) of the National Police of Ukraine and other project-related activities, by ensuring the installation, setting up and the proper functioning of the information technology system (platform) for a survey of NPU personnel, collecting the dataset from the survey platform on a weekly basis (and more often upon request) and presenting it to the DCAF Team, troubleshooting any potential mistakes of the system in a timely manner.
 
Your tasks
 
       • Review relevant project documentation and methodology.
 
       • Install, deploy, set up, adapt and maintain survey platform.
 
       • Create / adapt web-interface of the survey platform for the intranet (as deemed appropriate).
 
       • Input survey questionnaire and sampling data into the survey platform.
 
       • Run a test of the survey platform.
 
       • Collect the dataset from the survey platform on a weekly basis (and more often upon request).
 
       • Troubleshoot any potential misfunctioning of the system in a timely manner.
 
       • Perform other tasks as appropriate.
 
Your experience
 
       • BA in information technology, data science or another relevant field.
 
       • 3 years of prior experience of working as system administrator and/or performing similar tasks with databases
 
       • Prior experience of working with survey software would be an asset
 
       • Fluency in Ukrainian.
 
       • Intermediate level of English.
