Project Summary:
The Support to Anti-Corruption Champion Institutions (SACCI) Program in Ukraine is a five-year USAID initiative that has an objective to assist Ukraine to reduce corruption and increase the accountability and transparency of governance in Ukraine. The program seeks to empower key government institutions to fight corruption, build public support for and engagement in anti-corruption effort, and reduce citizen tolerance to corruption.

Position Summary:
The Youth Engagement Program Coordinator (YEPC) will support the implementation of SACCI activities aimed at engaging more youth in anti-corruption and social accountability activities through proper communications and education. The YEPC will manage relevant grants and short-term technical assistance (STTA) and support cooperation with civil society organizations and youth groups, international donors and projects, and government partner institutions. The YEPC will also contribute to the media promotion of SACCI’s youth-oriented and other activities and work with partners/vendors to ensure the compliance of media materials with USAID regulations. The YEPC will report to the Youth Engagement Program Manager and coordinate communications activities with the Communications Team Lead.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships and cooperation with relevant youth organizations, USG-funded initiatives, and state institutions to engage them in SACCI activities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and supervision of youth anti-corruption initiatives in online and offline formats
Contribute to the development and implementation of youth anti-corruption communications and outreach activities
Assist in creating and implementing communications campaigns, including cooperating with America House Kyiv and the USAID/UNITY project
Participate in writing, producing, or editing project materials, including project memos, reports, information briefs, advisory notes and position papers, fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, and success stories related to project activities and accomplishments
Design presentations, speeches, talks and other preparatory work for public events and engagements
Facilitate the production or development of customized products such as data visualizations and infographics, videos, and other communication products
Coordinate the design and production of branded merchandise and other visual materials
Organize and support workshops, trainings, and other events, including in virtual formats
Facilitate collaborative learning based on findings and lessons learned for stakeholders, including youth leaders
Generate terms of reference for communications products developed by external contractors
Review communications products of SACCI and SACCI partners for compliance with USAID, MSI, and USAID SACCI branding and marking policy
Manage grants, STTA, and work with contractors to ensure successful completion of deliverables as needed
Coordinate website and social media and manage its Telegram channel to attract new audiences and create new formats of engagement
Contribute to monitoring and reporting on achieved results and reached targets
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or higher degree in public communications, international relations, journalism, or a related field required
A minimum one year of relevant experience in conducting and managing communications and youth engagement activities
Experience and skills working with developing communication materials using graphic design programs, for example: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Piktochart, Prezi, etc.
Prior experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects and familiarity with USAID communications policies
Strong analytical and copywriting skills
Ability to work independently
Ability and willingness to travel within Ukraine
Strong communications skills – both oral and written
Fluency in Ukrainian, advanced level of English required
