ABOUT US
In 2014, Danish Refugee Council/Danish Demining Group (DRC/DDG) returned to Ukraine in order toassist those persons who are internally displaced (IDPs) or affected by the conflict in Donbas andimplements activities in eastern Ukraine with a head office in Kyiv. DDG is the specialist unit within DRCthat is dedicated to humanitarian mine action. Danish Demining Group has been operational in Ukraine since 2014 focusing on educating civilians as to the dangers of landmines and explosive remnants of war and conducting survey and marking of hazardous areas away from the contact line in government controlled areas.
ABOUT THE JOB
DDG is looking to recruit a Mine Risk Education Assistant to implement Mine Risk Education activities inEastern Ukraine on the government controlled territories. The Risk Education Assistant reports directly tothe Risk Education Supervisor.
Main responsibilities

To be successful in this role we expect you to have strong communication skills and public speaking abilityand experience in working with big audinece, delivering trainings and facilitating discussions, to be readyfor business-trips, to work in the field conditions
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required experience and technical competencies
University degree in education and pedagogy or relevant subject area or equivalent experience Previousexperience in humanitarian work (minimum 1 years) with local or international NGOs is a plus; Previousexperience in mine risk education or humanitarian mine action is a strong plus
Previous experience working with children and adult audiences in teaching or public speaking capacity
Strong understanding of the local context and political environment Full computer literacy Microsoft Word,Excel, Power Point
Ability to work with the administrative documents
Ukrainian (fluent); Russian (fluent); English (Working level of spoken and written English)
Diplomatic, patient and persistent.
