Duty Station: Odesa / Mykolaiv / Kherson

Nature of Consultancy: Under the overall supervision of the Emergency and Stabilization National Programme Officer, and the direct supervision of the project Shelter, NFI and Cash transfers specialist, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of IOM Ukraine’s Emergency and Stabilization-related programming.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the overall implementation of Emergency and Stabilization efforts in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions;
2. Conduct interviewing (verification) and informing (notification) of beneficiaries selected for cash assistance program;
3. Supervise cash assistance at the bank branches;
4. Perform monthly prices monitoring;
5. Perform post-distribution monitoring home visits to beneficiaries of cash assistance;
6. Assist in the logistics and organization of Emergency and Stabilization-related activities and events (coordination meetings, presentations, discussions, visits, etc.);
7. Provide informal interpretation and written translation (English/Ukrainian, Russian as well) when necessary;
8. Draft official and unofficial correspondence in English and Ukrainian if necessary;
9. Render support to programme visibility as necessary;
10. Undertake duty travel within Ukraine pertinent for Emergency and Stabilization programming, on an as-needed basis.
11. Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, law, political science, international relations would be an advantage.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience

• Experienced with organizational and administrative duties.
• Knowledge of humanitarian activities and context is advantageous

Languages

• Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.
