The PFA / Projects Manager ensures increased access of Member Association to institutional funding and successful implementation of projects co-funded by grant givers through planning, monitoring & evaluation activities. He/she identifies opportunities for accessing public funds and grants in the country and abroad on topics close to the programme activities of SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine.
MAINRESPONCIBILITIES
Screen and prioriteze relevant grant opportunities (including donors’ market) and funding programmes for applicability of the MA
Increase Organization’s attractiveness on the donors’ market.
Set up and keep updated a national database of grant givers
Coordinate all stages of PF-projects, i.e. from planning, through implementation, until final evaluation
Organize, facilitate and lead project formulation workshops and kick off meetings with involvement of main stakeholders
Support project teams during inception period by providing all relevant information on grant contract issues
Oversee and monitor implementation of current projects
Be responsible for visibility actions of grant project according to donor
Deliver all mandatory tools and guidelines in the field of Public Funding to project teams
Participate as a member in the regional, internatioal and national PF-networks and thus supporting colleagues sharing the proper info
MUSTCRITERIA
A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area, e.g. project management, social sciences, development studies, community development, public policy & planning, international relations, etc.
At least 3 years’ work experience in the social development field
Knowledge and expertise in project design, monitoring and evaluation
Hands-on experience in planning and implementation of social projects co-financed by institutional donors (such as: the EC, development agencies, international foundations, national grant givers)
COMPETENCIES
Deep knowledge and understanding of Project Cycle Management and monitoring / evaluation methodologies
Ability to develop project proposals in accordance with public donors’ requirements and oversee their implementation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including written and spoken English, and the ability to communicate with donor organizations
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical skills
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
Positive and professional approach: ability to work both independently and in team, highly organised, result-oriented, using initiative, keeping commitments and meeting deadlines
