You are an experienced Health Programs Manager, looking for a bigger game. You are a strategic thinker and long-term planner. You are a team player and able to work independently. You get a kick out of breaking down seemingly impossible barriers. You are a critical thinker with strong interest to analyze the data and formulate research questions.
Your focus is serving communities affected by HIV and engaging the communities in the HIV response. You are able to bring communities and health sector together to work on effective prevention, testing and linkage interventions. You have “Can Do” approach, but have the ability to hold on, if needed, and wait for the right moment. You have an excellent command in spoken and written English and working knowledge of Russian and/or Ukrainian.
You will be responsible for the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of current HIV prevention, rapid testing and linkage to care programs in Russia and Ukraine. You will launch new programs that would target key affected populations. You will develop budgets and operating plans to support the programs. You will then manage and supervise AHF staff and partners’ teams to implement programs on the ground. You will monitor and evaluate the AHF Rapid Testing Program strategy in the countries.
Your goal will be to achieve 20% increase of the targeted rapid testing in 2015; that is a tough goal. Other goals will include increase of seropositivity rates in testing programs, strengthen linkage to care and innovative condom promotion and distribution models.
