The EUVP is jointly sponsored and administered by the European Parliament and the European Commission. It has been in operation since 1974.
The EUVP invites young leaders from Ukraine to visit Europe to gain first-hand information on EU activities as well as a better understanding of its values and complexity. At the same time, it allows to share perspectives and best practice on issues of mutual concern.
An EUVP visit consists of an individual five- to eight-day program of meetings with EU officials at the EU institutions in Brussels, Strasbourg and/or Luxembourg. Each programme is individually tailored to meet the visitor's work profile and interests. Travel and per diem costs are covered by the EUVP.
