English Teaching Resource Center (ETRC), sponsored by the Public Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy, invites English language teachers and all interested to participate in the webinars on teaching English of American English Webinar Series.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 7 and October 21 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM

How to Participate in webinars:
- As the number of work stations that can access the webinars is limited in Ukraine, we invite all those who are interested in participating in these webinars to register as members of a viewing group at ETRC. We will join the webinars on one of our computers and project the video on a screen so that the participants could get a better view and an opportunity to fully engage with the webinars.
- If you attend four sessions out of six from the webinar series, you will receive a certificate of attendance.

 - Webinar 1.3 “Co-Teaching: Strategies for Sharing and Improving the Teaching Experience” on Wednesday, October 7 at 3:00PM

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION: 
The benefits of professional collaboration are being celebrated more frequently in today’s schools. This shift away from the individual teacher, behind a closed door, with his or her own class of students has brought about a new method of instructional delivery: co-teaching. Co-Teaching: Strategies for Sharing and Improving the Teaching Experience will discuss what is needed for a successful educational partnership. Several co-teaching models will be presented along with ideas for practical classroom applications. The webinar will address the potential positive effects of co-teaching, both on student learning and educators’ professional development. 
PRESENTER’s Bio: 
Amy Hanna has ten years of experience in the field of Teaching English as a Second Language, including working as an English Language Fellow in South Africa and Malaysia. She is currently working with the English Language Programs on English Teaching Forum and the American English webinar series. 

- Webinar 1.4 “Learn it! Share it! Using a Variety of Tools for Sharing Best Practices and Materials across Continents”  on Wednesday, October 21 at 3:00PM

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION: 
The webinar will focus on implications of information sharing on teacher professional development and educational sustainability measures. Utilizing specific examples of teacher sharing in the global playing field, we will then look at specific ways new and current teachers can begin sharing their own knowledge and expertise with local and global audiences. 
PRESENTER’s Bio: 
Ryan Brux received his Masters in TESOL from CUNY - Hunter College in New York, New York. Since 2003, Ryan has taught ESL/EFL in Thailand, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Peru.
