Dear Representatives of Civil Society Organizations,

We are contacting you on behalf of “The EU4Gender Equality: Reform Helpdesk,” financed by European Union and implemented by NIRAS in six Eastern Neighborhood countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The overall objective of the Helpdesk is: to increase the knowledge base and use of a gender analysis in decision-making and reforms by the Eastern Neighbourhood governments and EU Delegations to deliver effective and equal results to all, both women and men. The Helpdesk will provide support to the Eastern Neighbourhood governments and European Union Delegations to increase their knowledge base and the use of gender analysis in decision-making and in reforms.

Engagement of civil society is essential for providing advice support to governments to integrate gender perspectives in policymaking. CSOs play also a critical role as the watchdog for commitments and to put pressure on the administration to fulfil promises on gender equality.  In this contact, we would like to establish a close cooperation with Civil Society Organizations working on gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Eastern Neighbourhood countries.

We also need civil society experience and expert support in creation of a joint repository of knowledge products, studies, analysis on gender equality and women’s empowerment issues.
